About

American Ale House was established in the Toftrees resort area as State College's first genuine steakhouse. It's close to Penn State University, but far enough away from the center of town so you can stretch out. The Ale House is tucked away in a Golf Resort that is scenic and relaxing. Steaks, seafood, sandwiches, salads, as well as many in-house specialties such as Pepper Seared Ostrich, Spiced Lamb Porterhouse, Chilean Sea Bass, Blackened Salmon, and many more unique dishes that you can only get in State College at the Ale House. Full bar service with frozen drinks during the warmer months! Nightly LIVE entertainment-on Friday featuring our local favorite entertainer, Tommy Wareham. Other entertainers throughout the week! Ted & Molly every Sunday night starting at 8 p.m. Please join us for a great dinner and the best entertainment around!

I love going to the Ale House on a Friday night! Great live music (with lots of drunken backup singers), a really unusual but amazing menu, and a great happy hour (half off most drinks I believe). I brought some out of town friends there last weekend and they can't wait until their next visit!
