Champs Sports Bar & Grill

Not only does Champs give you the best food around they have any different atmosphere you would want. Upstairs they have an impressive bar with big Plasmas to watch your favorite event, a separated area for more intimate dinning, a patio to enjoy the weather, and a unique billiard room with aquariums and fish tanks surrounding you. I love to hang out downstairs with my friends and shoot some pool and have some brews. They have about ten regulation Billiard tables and a shuffleboard table next a cigar room. They got whatever you need.

I always loved Champs wings. I always order obnoxious temperature wings! Best wing sauce I ever had, and I've had wings at a lot of places in many cities. One of the other things that Champs does real well is serve great oversized sandwiches. Great selection too. Not cheap, but at least I get enough to eat! Yeah, I'm a bigger eater.

One thing that I overlooked for years were their steaks. Steaks at some of the national chains are really expensive. I got a great steak at Champs for about 15 bucks and it was big, tender, and cooked the way I ordered.

If I remember correctly, Champs is the first bar/restaurant "Sports Bar" in State College. I've had a good time when the Flyers are playing the Penguins at Champs! Sometimes the crowd is 50/50 Pittsburgh and Philly fans and the place really rocks during hockey playoffs!
